OHS Hall of Fame
Mission Statement
The Olivet High School Athletic Hall of Fame exists to recognize and honor OHS student-athletes, coaches, teams and sports contributors for their achievements and/or contributions to the OHS athletic program.
Hall of Fame Committee
The OHS athletic director will serve as the chairperson. The remainder of the committee will include the OHS principal, at least one current OHS staff member/coach, and at least two community members who
have a knowledge of OHS athletics.
Committee members who are nominated for the Hall of Fame will not be involved in their own nomination process or discussion and shall be excused from the voting process. The committee will be responsible for choosing from those individuals and teams who have been recommended through the nomination process. They will use a two-thirds vote and criteria set forth by the committee to make this determination.
Nomination Criteria
Athlete
An athlete is eligible for nomination into the OHS Athletic Hall of Fame 10 years after graduating from OHS. Considerations include individual honors, team success and post-high school accomplishments.
Team
A team is eligible for nomination into the OHS Athletic Hall of Fame 10 years after the accomplishment. Considerations include championships won and the level of success during the regular season and post season.
Coach
A coach is eligible for nomination into the OHS Athletic Hall of Fame 3 years after retiring from coaching.
Considerations include conference, district, regional and state championships, along with win-loss record.
Sports Contributor
A sports contributor is eligible for nomination into the OHS Athletic Hall of Fame at any time. These are individuals who are not players or coaches but contribute heavily to the success of the OHS athletic program(s).
